With its mix of shops, bustling street life, and restaurants, the Beltline is a wonderful part of town to spend an afternoon. There are so many options for good spots to eat in the area that it can be tough to pick. So we’re here to help you narrow down your choices, here are four of the best places to get lunch in the Beltline.
Tubby Dog - 17 Avenue SW Suite 1022
Tubby Dog is a must-visit, if you’re feeling like eating some delicious, silly food. They have, for example, a hotdog with peanut butter and jelly and Captain Crunch and it’s somehow delicious. The decorations have a nostalgic feeling, and there are sometimes cool shows or events there in the middle of the day too.
Galaxie Diner - 1413- 11 Street SW
Galaxie is a tiny little spot that has been around for a while and serves up delicious food. It’s really busy on weekends, but if you go on a weekday you should be able to get a table no problem for lunch. The Montreal smoked meat hash is particularly good.
Ship & Anchor Pub - 534- 17 Avenue SW
Ship & Anchor has got a great location right on 17th avenue, so it’s a great place to be when you’re taking a break for lunch. It has good pub food, like hamburgers and pizza and stuff, but the atmosphere is what makes it a great spot.
Thai Sa-On - 351- 10 Ave SW
I don’t know exactly why this is, but often when lunchtime rolls around, I get an insane craving for Thai food that I simply must satisfy. Thai Sa-On is an extremely good Thai restaurant with a cozy atmosphere, fair prices, and really good Pad Thai.
